~ Bring on 2023 ~

Here we go 2023 – lots of new beginnings, fresh starts, resolutions and thoughts about what was good in 2022 and what the New Year will bring.

We had a summer of celebrations with me turning 60 and our 40th wedding anniversary. In August family and a few friends gathered in the back yard for our vow renewal. It was very special and went off with out a hitch. Thank you to all who helped out and made it a wonderful day with much and joy. Then on August 24th we headed to Vancouver to depart for our Alaska cruise. What can I say but WOW. We sailed with Holland America and we were not disappointed. Juneau, Skagway, Ketchican and that amazing Glacier Bay. Good friends joined us and it was a terrific time. The only downside was we contracted COVID and were sick once we arrived home.

A new addition joined our house in April. Her name is Shelby. She is a Rottweiler who is a lovebug. Kona has adopted her new little sister and is teaching her well.

We enjoyed some camping time, pool time, & lots of laughter and fun times with family and friends. There were some challenging health events with our youngest daughter. Fortunately she is on the mend and getting supported on her journey after over a week in hospital. We had gingerbread & sugar cookie decorating along with Butchart Gardens.

As we all face challenges in 2022, we draw on the strength of our family and friends who support us during these times. It has certainly been another year for the record books.

As for 2023, we are wishing good health to all. May you be surrounded by those who are important to you and make you smile. We hope 2022 held fond memories good health and happy times.

Here’s to 2023 – Be safe, take care, wash your hands, and remember to laugh and smile.
